About the Team/Service/Location Nelson Hospital Radiology is a leading diagnostic provider with two brand-new Siemens dual energy CT scanners and a team of experienced professionals.
Our department offers a comprehensive range of imaging services, including General Radiography, CT scanning, MRI, Interventional/Cardiac Cath Lab and ultrasound, dedicating a gold standard service to a diverse patient population. We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service to improve patient outcomes. About you: As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will: Work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a friendly, patient-centred environment.
Perform high quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, CT scans, and ultrasound, with accuracy and attention to patient safety. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging that supports patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
Provide compassionate care to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their imaging experience. Skills and experience The ideal applicant: Is registered with the NZMRT Board and hold a current APC or eligible. Has proven experience in diagnostic imaging.
Has strong communication and teamwork skills. Has commitment to high standards of patient care. Has experience in CT is preferred but not essential Is competent with te ao Mori, tikanga, and te reo Mori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Has experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mtauranga Mori and Kaupapa Mori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
